The Amazing Cyberspider!

One of the most enjoyable and fulfilling model projects I've ever built. Like building a plastic model but without messy glue or simple plastic parts. This has all metal parts for a solid construction and it's looks and feels functional. The light effects are very nice and great for background lighting when listening to music and other nocturnal activities!

Challenging and fun

Some parts are really small and take a lot of time to manipulate. This kit should have come with a nut driver in my opinion. But aside from that it's really a cool looking model and was a lot of fun to assemble. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the finished product looks great. Will buy different ones in the future for sure.

For those unsure

This was my first purchase and it was awesome. It takes time and patience and is great for relaxing. It is as advertised and I always thoroughly research before I buy. The work and effort you put into it is rewarding. The pliers are excellent for maneuvering the small components. You do need to buy the batteries separately but they are inexpensive. It is great for relieving anxiety and focusing. The directions are easy to understand and everything is well packaged. Again it is great for relieving anxiety.

Challenging and Frustrating - cool end product

I spent several weeks building this. After reading many reviews, I learned to walk away when I got frustrated (the pieces are TINY and a third arm would be helpful). I also tightened stuff as hard as I could. In spite of this, now that it is built, the legs keep coming loose and spinning around. I am now trying to tighten them again. A few spots in the instructions are very unclear - specifically the final step on the head and where to attach the light. There is a close up of I don't know what. Will probably just glue it on in the end.

Otherwise, it does look very cool...I do hope I can get the legs to stabilize.

It's nice

Batteries not being part of the package is a thing with this one - in one of the previous models, the mantis, I was also lacking a battery. Back then I didn't realize, I just thought it's busted from delivery, but no. AG1 or LR621 is the code you need to go for. I'm gonna give it a go once I get them, since you will be needing those to make eyes glow. I don't quite understand why the specs mention 12 batteries needed (it doesn't feel like I can stick three of them in one eye) but since they sell them in packs of like 12 anyway, it doesn't probably matter.

My biggest issue is with USB cabel that lights LEDs in the back sack. I wasn't aware of needing to plug it into a powered USB slot. SInce there is no such thing in my glass vitrine, I'm gonna have to fetch a mini power bank just to keep it glowing.

Also - keep in mind, that this model is much looser than some others (I've only assembled mantis and dragonfly so far), make sure you thighten those legs as it will become impossible later after attaching head to them and with loose legs it just won't stand up properly. The flip flop things on sides of its head also seem unneccessary as they only contribute towards raising overall confusion, especially when you need to lead some cables through it. The back sack is very loose - it only holds on two longer parts that emerge from the body and need to be folded towards each other, then you just put the sack onto it, but it can come off anytime really, it's not secured at all.

Other than that - yeah, it's nice additon, size is finally right (it came a bit short of expectation with before mentioned models), assembly was so far the hardest, but managable without videos.
